SLICK is an artist book and public art project featuring artist notes and modified archival images of Tulsa and greater Oklahoma from before, during, and after the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, alongside work by invited authors. SLICK will examine gesture, site, access, and collective memory of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and how that history informs the present, through the intimacy of the book and the public address.
