Kenesha Daniels

Kene Daniels is a Tulsa Native who attended Oklahoma State University where her passion for food expanded. She believes culinary arts is an universal vehicle in educating our next generation on the importance of what we put in our bodies matters.

She has had the rewarding opportunity to do so at Tulsa Public Schools since 2015. Highlighting that food is medicine, Kene visits the children and provides cooking demonstrations of various plant based recipes and foreign cuisines. She has enjoyed coordinating the district wide Sodexo Future Chef competition for 3 years.

In efforts to combat mental, spiritual, and physical health, Kene desires to heal vessels, one recipe at a time.

Ah_Senek

Ah_SeneK (A Snack) is a restorative justice initiative that teaches children the history of Greenwood while learning to prepare a healthy snack. Chef Kenesha Daniels will guide children ages 7 to 11 in learning how vitamins build muscles, how cooking is a form of expression, and how eating can present opportunities to honor diverse cultures. Daniels will co-host this show with activist Chief Egunwale Fagbenro Amusan, who will help the children examine how hate stunts human progress. Chief Amusan will also encourage the children to increase their strength and fight injustice by loving others as they would themselves.

Ah-SeneK will cultivate a space for children and adults to not only learn recipes and histories, but also to think about the importance of nourishing oneself, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
