India Lovejoy

Event Specialist

India Lovejoy, the founder of Black Buddha Creative Agency, acts as a bridge between creatives, collectors, and entrepreneurs as a curator, event producer, and fine art service provider. Following the completion of her B.S. in Event Management, Lovejoy built her practice around supporting artists and building community in 2015 at Project Row Houses spearheading the art collecting program The Collectors Club. Since then she has activated numerous traditional and alternative spaces in Houston to establish connections between artists and the communities they occupy.

Most notably, the ongoing series Collect It For The Culture in collaboration with Robert Hodge, which features an intergenerational section of local and national artists. The series has garnered a significant following for its dynamic nature of events that invite untapped communities to invest in their culture through art collecting.

Additionally, she led the Houston Artadia Fellowship for immigrant and refugee artists; tasked with increasing access into Houston’s artscape and raising awareness to new talents. She has produced events that encompass dance performances, art shows, fashion shows, musical performances, and experiences to educate both collectors and artists.

Currently, she is the full-time studio manager for artist Rick Lowe in Houston, Texas.
